Our History
The Happyland® brand first launched in the UK in 1993 under Early Learning Centre. The original Happyland Village quickly became a beloved classic, allowing children to act out scenes from everyday life with the doll house, figures and vehicles.
Over the years, the Happyland range expanded to include fantasy themes like fairies, pirates and knights. The intricate detail on our toys helps spark imaginations, while the chunky pieces are ideal for little hands.
In 2019, we opened our independent Happyland® online store while keeping select toys available at Early Learning Centre. After becoming our own brand, we continued creating innovative new worlds for children to explore.
Today, Happyland® Toys offers an extensive selection of playsets, figures, vehicles and accessories. Our goal remains the same – to encourage learning through play.
Our Vision

We want to inspire children to imagine bold new storylines with our playsets. Instead of passively watching shows, they can actively engage their creativity by acting out stories with toys.

Our Playsets
The core of the Happyland® range consists of our signature themed playsets. These larger sets create a whole imaginary environment for children to explore.
Some of our playset themes include:
- Happyland Village – With the dollhouse, park, school and more, kids can roleplay daily life scenarios.
- Happyland Magic Castle – Features a castle, dragons, knights, wizards and other medieval fantasy characters.
- Happyland Pirate Island – A pirate ship, island, sharks and hidden treasure spark pirate adventures.
- Happyland Fairy Garden – Fairies, woodland creatures and mushroom houses create a magical forest world.
- Happyland Adventure Train Set – The train, track layout, station and scenery encourage imaginative journeys.
We design our environments to naturally spark story ideas without following rigid scripts. This encourages children to think creatively.
Our Figures
No playset is complete without figures to inhabit the magical worlds! Our unique character designs help children visually identify roles for pretend play.
The Happyland® sets come with stylized figurines such as:
- Families, children, pets and community helpers for the Village.
- Knights, wizards, kings, queens and dragons for the Magic Castle.
- Pirates, islanders, sharks and monkeys for Pirate Island.
- Fairies, elves, woodland animals for the Fairy Garden.
- Passengers, driver and conductor for the Adventure Train.
The friendly faces draw kids into the themed stories and adventures. Mixing figures between sets also builds narrative skills.
Our Vehicles
Bring the Happyland® worlds to life by adding our fun vehicles! Cars, trains, planes, emergency vehicles and more transport the characters on exciting journeys.
Iconic vehicles like the classic red London bus also help spark familiarity and roleplay. Kids go through a “copying phase” where they imitate life experiences, making our true-to-life designs perfect learning toys.
From a child’s imagination, a bus becomes a tour bus, train or elephant! Vehicles encourage creative thinking as children explore where they can travel.
Our Quality
At Happyland® Toys, we adhere to high-quality standards when crafting our playsets. We use sturdy materials so the toys withstand years of intense, imaginative play.
Our figures are made from durable, BPA-free plastic with no small parts. The larger pieces are easy for tiny hands to grasp and less likely to pose a choking hazard.

Each set also comes in a stylish box with handy carry handle. This keeps all the pieces neatly organized for quick playtime setup and storage.
